Today we went for a walk around our neighborhood. I got to ride in the baby bjorn - a baby carrying contraption that is like a saddle you strap to your parents. We walked down Sunset past the Rainbow and Roxy, then down to Santa Monica to see what was happening at The Troubadour before walking back up the hill to our house.

lazy saturday
Today was a nice, lazy day. I'm going through a growth spurt, so I eat about every 2 hours now. When I'm not eating, I'm usually sleeping. Dad says I look cute when I sleep so he tried (unsuccessfully) to sneak up on me and take this picture. Seconds later I was wide awake.

my cousin devi
Today I got to meet my Dad's cousin Devi. We had a really nice visit at her friend Laurel's house in Eagle Rock. Devi has a daughter named Amy and a new baby growing in her belly now. Devi is my first cousin once removed and her babies are my second cousins. I hope to meet them soon.

My Friend Rebecca
My friend Rebecca came over tonight for dinner. I had the usual, but Mom, Dad and Rebecca had turkey burgers that Dad grilled. Rebecca took the pictures of me for the birth announcement when I was 6 days old. She is a really good photographer. I hope she takes pictures of me again!

up all night, sleep all day
I did a lot of sleeping today. More than usual. It's OK, though...my parents won't mind if I stay up all night.

Feeling Better
I'm feeling better today. The saline spray really helped my nose and Dad went out and got me a new humidifier so that I can sleep better. I slept in my chair instead of my bassinet so that my head was elevated. I was feeling so good that Mom took me out for a walk today. She got a frozen lemonade at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Dad stayed behind so that he could get some work done! This is me relaxing after the walk. My eyes look brown in these pictures, but they are still a steel-gray blue.

Wu Am I?
My parents are crazy. They couldn't just stop with Ilana...they had to keep going with the nicknames. I've already got more aliases than all of the members of the Wu Tang Clan combined. Let's see... there's Squeaky Mouse, The Buddha, Mouse In The House, Hunny Bunny aka Honey Bunches of Oats, Funkadelic aka Funky Brewster, Silly Monkey, Cheeky Monkey, Funky Monkey, Poops aka Poop Dogg, Big Baby, Sweet Baby, Buddha Baby, Babygirl, Toots aka Tootie, Yahoo Serious, Ol' Dirty, Dirt McGirt...uh, you get the picture.

my cool new towel
Tonight after the bath Mom wrapped me up in one of my new favorite towels. It's big and thick like a robe and has my name embroidered on it. I feel like I'm Mike Tyson circa 1989 when I wear it.

had a bad day
I've been a little sick this weekend (thanks, Dad). So we've been taking it pretty easy. I had a stuffy nose that Mom fixed with some saline drops and a bulb syringe. Here's the before & after.

the best bath ever
Tonight I had the best bath of my young life. The water was bubbly and toasty warm, I played with my rubber duckies that light up and I didn't cry once. It was the highlight of my day - even better than breakfast with Mom & Dad at Mel's Diner.

keep em coming
The mail lady had another batch of packages for me today - including one from my Grandma Suarez.
I love the mail - every time it comes I get some new presents. It's too bad for my parents, though...they seem to only get bills.

worth the wait
Dad set up my new changing table today. Mom ordered it in January but it didn't finally arrive until now. I like it a lot - it's a good addition to my room. It saves a ton of space because it's designed to fit in the corner & has lots of storage space for extra toys and books along with the typical changing gear and fancy warmer for my baby wipes.

2nd visit to the dr.
Today I had my 2nd appointment with Dr. Raker. I like going to her office because she has a really cool fishtank full of cool little fishes. The doctor told me I'm doing great & that I gained over a pound in the last 2 weeks - I now tip the scales at 9lbs., 3oz.

another busy day
Today we went to Runyon Canyon again. Dad went up the steep way and met Mom & I on his way down. It was pretty hot outside, so I suggested we go get something cold to drink. We went to Target on LaBrea to pick up a few things and while Mom went to buy some makeup at ULTA, me and Dad snuck over to Jamba Juice for a Strawberry Nirvana w/ an immunity boost so Dad can stop sneezing.
After my bath tonight, Mom and Dad tried to trick me by having Dad give me my dinner instead of Mom. He lured me in with a bottle and plastic teat, but it tasted just like the dinner Mom makes for me. I had fun and suggested that next time we speed things up by skipping the bottle and just using a funnel connected to a hose like Frank The Tank uses in the movie Old School.

Runyon Canyon
It was a beautiful day today so Mom & Dad took me on my first hike of Runyon Canyon. It was lots of fun - when we got to the top we were close enough to the HOLLYWOOD sign that it looked like we could reach out and touch it.

Barry The Bear chair
Some of my Dad's friends sent me a new friend named Barry. He's a big, cute teddy bear and I can sit in his lap. Good times.

UFC 59
Last night I got to see UFC59 - my first televised mixed martial arts event. It was also the first ever UFC event held in California. Tim Sylvia regained the heavyweight title with a first round knockout of Andrei Arlovski & Tito Ortiz squeaked out a controversial split decision victory over Forrest Griffin. Good stuff.

First Visit to the Dr.
Today I went to see my doctor, Dr. Bess Raker, for the first time. She is from Arizona and went to medical school at the University of Arizona. I like her a lot. I weighed 8 lbs, 0 oz. Dr. Raker told me that I am "FAT and DELICIOUS."

LACMA - La Brea Tar Pits
Today I went with my Mom and Grandma Suarez to the sculpture garden at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the La Brea Tar Pits. It was nice to get out for some fresh air. We saw Jodie Foster and her two sons while we were there.

First Bath - Final Four
Today my umbilical cord fell off, so I was able to take my first bath! Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Angie came over to watch the Final Four games and they were able to help with my first bath. I didn't really like the bath that much.
George Mason lost to Florida, and that put me in a bad mood, too.
