friendly skies and bouncy chairs

I survived my first plane trip today (on Southwest in coach, no less). Mom and me flew from Burbank to Phoenix. Dad's driving out to meet us for the weekend tomorrow. My Grandpa picked us up and surprised me with this cool new bouncy chair when we got back to his and Grandma's house.

3 Month Exam

I went to see Dr. Raker today. She made me laugh so hard- she's a funny lady! I weigh 13 lbs, 7 oz. (78th percentile) and I'm 23.3 inches long (48th percentile). My head circumference is 40 cm. (52nd percentile).

Hangin' Out

I had some visitors this week. On Wednesday I got to meet my Dad's friend Brett from Pennsylvania and on Thursday I met Mom's friend Gayle from New York. Mom and Gayle went to the world famous Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles to eat fried chicken and waffles for breakfast. They brought Dad back the big piece of chicken, but all I got was some karate pants from American Apparel.

Mom and I had fun playing today. My Great Grandma Krcina made me this Care Bear quilt. I like to look at it and smile!

Saba's return (updated w/video)

Saba's Return (video)

My Saba came to town to visit me today. We got a whole bunch of food from Chin Chin and had dinner with Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Angie. I got a chance to give Saba his Father's Day gift a little early. I think he liked it.

San Diego road trip

Today me and Mom packed up the car and tooks a girls only road trip to San Diego. We went to visit Mom's friend Lisa and her family who were on vacation there. I got to see my friends Addison and Liam (he's the one hiding under the blanket taking a nap) again and this time I met her cousin Zane. He's 3 and a half, too. They sure loved me - rubbing my head and belly every chance they got. They're pretty funny. We also survived the traffic on the drive back.

Love Me Do

Mom and Dad play a lot of music for me around the house. My favorite artist right now is Bob Marley. I've been listening and dancing to so much Bob Marley that it's starting to drive my Mom crazy. To mix it up a bit, she turned me on to this new band called The Beatles. I think they're pretty good. Dad keeps trying to get me into the Pixies, but I don't think I'm ready yet. Maybe next week.

Trader Joe's

We went for a walk (I just strolled) to the Trader Joe's on Santa Monica. When we got down there the streets were packed - we forgot that the Pride Parade was happening. I made sure Mom and Dad bought lots of healthy foods.

these are a few of my favorite things

Some of my favorite things to do this week:
#1. Spend time staring at my Mom's glider chair. It's got some fun things to look at like animals and freaky circus midgets.

#2. Snack on Mom's shoulder while staring at her glider chair.

#3. Play with my current favorite toys: my blue bear rattle and the Gold Lion.

ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz

I slept through the night last night. I didn't think it was a big deal, but my parents seemed pretty excited this morning. Mom fed me at 8 PM last night and I went to bed around 8:30. I was so tired that I didn't wake up until 6 AM.

at the movies

This morning Mom & Dad took me to the Grove to see the new Vince Vaughn movie. On Monday mornings the theater has "Mommy Movies" where all the Moms (+ a few Dads) can bring their screaming babies.

It's a pretty wild scene: there is special stroller parking in front of the theater, a big changing table is set up inside, they leave the lights on the whole time & cut to the chase with no commercials or previews before the movie. The theater was totally packed.

Once the movies started I got so comfortable that I slept through the whole thing & missed out on all of the popcorn and milk.

My Aunt Anna bought me my first pair of Vans sneakers! Just like my dad used to wear, except mine are pink and white. Now where's my skateboard?

week in review

Sorry for the recent lack of updates - I had a really busy week. There was a lot of playing, smiling & dressing up to be done - didn't get a chance to get near my computer.

hi katura

Mom's friend Katura came out from St. Louis to visit this weekend. Word on the streets is that we're going shopping on Rodeo Drive tomorrow.
