My School
Mom and I went to my school today. We got there around 11 AM and stayed until about 4 PM. I had SO MUCH fun! There was so much to see. I liked looking around at all of the decorations and watching the other kids. I met a new friend- Ellaena. She's only 5 days younger than me. She showed me around and we played together on her blanket. The teachers think it's pretty confusing because of only 8 kids in the class there is an Ilana, Ellaena and Elianna. Elianna is 10 months old, so she will be graduating to the Toddler class soon. Mom took some pictures of my classroom. I was having so much fun that I only took one 30 min. nap and 1 hour nap. I was so tired by the time I got home I laid down and took another 1 hour nap! We're going back tomorrow and I can't wait to see my new friends and Teachers Edith, Karina and Ana again!

Things I like to do
Aunt Anna got me this cool water mat that has my friend Whoozit inside. I like to lay on my tummy and watch the water and shapes move around.

S-H-O-T-S
We went to the doctor's office today for my 4-month checkup. I got another A+ grade (what else?) from Dr. Raker. We were having a jolly good time until the end when the doc left and the Grim Reaper (nurse Krista) came in to jam some sharp needles in my thighs. I should have known that when Mom and Dad start spelling out words to each other that it means something bad is about to happen. I've been hearing them whispering about "S-H-O-T-S" for the last few days.
I'm kidding, the shots really weren't so bad - Krista is super quick and gentle. I was smiling and laughing again within minutes.
For those of you who like to keep up on my stats, here's the latest...
Weight: 15 pounds (81st percentile)
Height: 23.7 in.* (30th percentile)
* I'm challenging the nurse's mark this time, I'm definitely a little taller.
Head Circ.: 41.25cm (60th percentile)

grandma loves me
Grandma made me this new quilt. It's thick and fluffy, has lots of colors on one side and sheep on the other. Nice.

school
Mom and Dad took me to visit my school today. I'm going to start going there next week. It looks pretty fun. There are 7 other kids in my class, including one who is just 5 days younger than me and 2 who have similar names (Eliana or Elleana or something like that). I guess I'm not as special as Mom and Dad had led me to believe...
The school is just downstairs from Mom's office so we'll be able to meet for lunch and/or coffee (tea, in Mom's case) on a regular basis. That's nice, but I was really looking forward to getting a little space to do my own thing when I went away to school. I guess I'll have to wait until kindergarten now to finally get a little break from my parents.

rollin' (almost)
I had a really fun weekend. Slept in my own room for a change - I like my crib a lot. Dad took me on walks in the morning and played guitar for me in the afternoons. He plays along to all of my favorite cds. I always think that it needs more cowbell, but my parents are too cheap to buy me one so I accompany him on shaker instead. I think we're starting to sound pretty good together.
I always like to be able to see everything going on around me, so I'm starting to roll over onto my sides to get a good look at my surroundings. Mom caught me in action in the photo above. In the next few days I should be able to start rolling all the way from my back to my front. That'll be nice.

Home Sweet Home
I'm back home in LA now. I had such a great time in Arizona! I miss all of my relatives and their ceiling fans! While I was gone, Dad converted my bassinet into the crib and I'm sleeping in my own room now. It's pretty cool. Mom got me a mobile and we put up the musical light toy that GiGi and Papa got for me. Dad hung up the flamingo lithograph that Aunt Anna got from Tommy Tune. My room is shaping up!

They're still Grrrrreat!
It was a BIG day today! Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma Helen and I drove down to Tucson to see GiGi and Papa. Aunt Anna was even able to stop by for lunch. It was so great to have everyone together! I sat on Mom's and Aunt Anna's lap so that I could be at the table while they ate lunch. I can't wait until I get to eat food with everyone. I even took a little nap on GiGi and Papa's bed. It was very comfortable. GiGi was wearing a duck pin and I liked looking at it. I am very lucky to have these GREAT-grandparents!

Tummy Time
Mom wanted me to have a little workout this morning before the drive to Tucson. I can scoot myself to the side, but I'm still working on moving forward.

Great Great Auntie Ann
Today I went with Mom and Grandma to visit my Great Great Auntie Ann in Mesa. She turned 90 this year. She made lunch for Mom and Grandma and I took a nap on her big, soft bed.

Aunt Anna and Chico
Today my Aunt Anna came up from Tucson to visit me. She brought her dog Chico. He looks like some of my stuffed animals. He wanted to play with my toys but Grandpa made sure that he left my things alone! We also celebrated Grandpa's birthday a little early. I was too tired and I missed the celebration. Aunt Anna got me some cute new clothes with her BabyGap discount!

Pool Party
Today my Grandma and Grandpa came over to Saba and Safta's house. We had a big pool party. My Aunt Angie and Uncle Jonathan are staying here for the weekend, too! The big people had hot dogs and hamburgers, but I had the usual. I had a lot of fun in my turtle boat. I even got to go in the big pool for the first time.
