Playing with our Sisters

Ellie & Rose are starting to be more awake. Today they were able to come down to the living room and spend a little time with us. Adam and I had fun entertaining them with songs.

Swim Lessons

Adam and I have been taking swim lessons for the last 3 weeks with Tommy, our swim teacher, in our pool. We have learned a lot from him. He has taught us how to climb out of the pool, put our heads under water, kicking with the kick board and the doggy paddle. Both Adam and I can jump in the pool with the noodles and swim to the steps with no help. I can swim with my face in the water. We are very close to being able to swim on our own!

Riding my Bike

Grandma has been helping me practice riding the bike that Mommy & Daddy got me for my birthday. I can get going pretty fast once I get the pedals going!

Margie Visits

Margie, Mommy's birth doula, stopped by to check up on us. Ellie & Rose were very alert and liked hearing her talk.

Thank you Aunt Karin & Uncle Bob!

We received a big box from Aunt Karin & Uncle Bob today! There were gifts for all of us in there. Adam and I opened Ellie & Rose's gifts since they don't know how to open presents yet. Aunt Karin made beautiful knit hats and crocheted blankets for them. Aunt Karin has made blankets and hats for each one of us Karchmer Kids- she is so talented! Adam wanted to try on Rose's hat. They will be the perfect size for this winter. Aunt Karin and Uncle Bob always pick out the best books for us, too. Thank you so much!

Mommy

Mommy is getting the hang of feeding two at the same time!

BREAKING NEWS!

Mommy's OB, Dr. Kline just called with the results of the placenta pathology and it turns out the girls are identical! He said the results showed only one chorion, so Ellie and Rose are Monochorionic-Diamniotic twins (shared one placenta, but were separated by a membrane in the amniotic sac).

Sleeping

Mommy thinks it's cute to see the way Ellie and Rose fold themselves up when they are sleeping, like they did when they were in Mommy's tummy. This is Ellie.

Subtle Differences

Mommy has been keeping Grandma very busy! Finally here is a picture of her with Ellie & Rose. My sisters' favorite time of day so far is late morning. Grandma gives them a sponge bath and then they are awake for about 20-30 minutes before taking another nap. They sleep most of the rest of the time. Each day we are noticing some subtle differences between Ellie & Rose. Ellie's face is longer and Rose's face is more round. First picture is Ellie, second picture is Rose.

Baby Sisters are Home!

When Adam & I got home from school, we were so excited to see that Ellie & Rose were home with Mommy & Daddy! We could wait to hold our baby sisters and sing songs for them. They were happy to see us, too. Ellie & Rose opened their eyes and looked us over!
