Yesterday we went to see the doctor for my 12-month checkup. I also had to get 3 more shots. I cried for a second because that's what babies are supposed to do when they get stuck with needles, but then I realized that they didn't hurt so bad. When we were leaving the doctors office people were looking out of the windows at a huge fire that was happening in the hills. Turns out it was further from our house than we thought. But there was a lot of smoke everywhere.

My birthday party!
Yesterday we had a big birthday party at my Saba and Savta's house. Grandma, Grandpa, Anna, GG Krcina, Uncle Steve and Great Auntie Ann were there to celebrate with me. We had food brought in from Daphne's for lunch and then had some cake for dessert. I got to open tons of presents and even got my own private banana cake that Grandma made for me. Yum.

Picnic with the ducks & trip to the zoo
Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Anna took me to Papago Park to picnic with the ducks and to the Phoenix Zoo to celebrate my birthday. We finished the picnic with some cupcakes!

Crazy Train
I got to open my birthday present from Savta and Saba a few days early! They got me the "Chicco Loco" - a really fun toy train. I've been driving Dad around the house every day since I got it.

reunited with Chico!
Today was a fun day. I spent some time sitting in my bear chair and then Aunt Anna came over. Normally, I wouldn't be that excited about a visit from Anna, but this time she brought my long lost friend Chico! It was so good to see him!
