Today I got to try my hand (get it?) at finger painting for the first time! Teacher Edith helped me do some work on my own and also contribute to a piece that the whole class worked on together. I'm not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty in the name of art.

Early Half-Birthday Gift!

When I got home from school today I had another nice surprise from Saba & Safta! They sent me some more outfits as a gift for my half-birthday! Technically, it's not until Saturday, but I'm starting the celebration early. Thanks again, Safta & Saba!
Early this morning my new second cousin was born. He's a little boy named Azure. I hope to meet him and his big sister Amy soon!

Busy Sunday!
Wow! I sure had a fun day yesterday! Our friend Rebecca came over in the morning to visit and take a walk to the book fair at our favorite park. There were a lot of people there, lots of booths with food, games, and books (of course). There was also a petting zoo with some cute animals. Rebecca brought her camera and took the great pictures you see here!
Aunt Angie and Uncle Jonathan came by to visit in the afternoon. It's always nice to see them. They brought Dad some watermelon from the Farmer's Market - I've come to learn that he's a big watermelon fan. Angie and Jonathan stayed until just before my bedtime. I was so exhausted by the end of the day that I slept for a loooooong time!

Thanks, Safta & Saba!

When I got home from school today there was a big box waiting for me from Safta & Saba! I opened it to find a bunch of cool new outfits. I can't wait to wear them! They don't just look good, they taste great too. I couldn't resist nibbling on them a little.

Postcard from "Uncle" Rip

My "Uncle" Rip was in New York for a month and he sent Mom a postcard. I'm tired of the banging upstairs, too!

Lazy Sunday

We had a fun, lazy Sunday. We walked to the park in the morning, but just spent the afternoon relaxing at home.

Have A Drink
I've been fascinated with glasses and water bottles lately. I get so excited every time I see my parents holding a tall, icy-cold glass of water that I just reach out for it. Today they let me try to drink from a glass of my own.

Happy Birthday Dad!

It was Dad's Birthday today. I helped him open his present. I really like wrapping paper. I think that was the best part of the gift.

rollin' (caught on tape)
I've been rolling around (mostly from front to back) for the last week or so at home and at school. Here's what it looks like:

My Friend Sydney

I met a new friend today! Her name is Sydney and she was born the day after I was. Her Mom is in the internet group for first time moms with my Mom and we all got together today at the Grove. Sydney can sit up on her own- I'm hoping that I'll be able to do that soon. Sydney thought that I had pretty hair- she wanted to feel it. We're going to try to get together again soon for a playdate.

4-day weekend

Today Aunt Angie and Uncle Jonathan came over for breakfast. The brought bagels, rugelach and a big box of diapers (those were for me). After breakfast we went to the park to play on the swings. It was a nice day.
