On this trip I get to meet two of my Great Grandmas. This morning GG Krcina came over to see me. She's super nice. Today is her 81st birthday and we're going to celebrate with chinese food and have a picture taken with me, Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma - that's 4 generations in one picture. Wow. Next week I get to meet my other GG Karchmer - I'm very excited about that too.

i can't drive 55

The road trip was pretty fun today. I spent some quality time with my new friend Whoozit. Mom and Dad let me listen to all 4 hours of the Howard Stern show today on Sirius. Those guys are silly. It took us about 7 hours to get to Phoenix. When we got there, I got to meet my Grandpa Suarez for the first time. He was all dressed up for the occasion.

by the time i get to arizona

Today I helped Mom & Dad pack up all of our stuff to take to Arizona. It was hard work. I'm excited to take my first road trip - glad I've got such a comfy car and car seat.

happy birthday, uncle jonathan

Jonathan and Angie came over tonight. We celebrated Jonathan's birthday early with dinner and cupcakes. Lucky for him, I was there to help blow out the candle.

this bed isn't big enough for both of us
Had a bit of a rough night. Right before bedtime I got pretty upset and started causing a ruckus, prompting my dad to nickname me Ilana Bin Laden. Eventually, things calmed down and we all got some rest. In the morning Mom & Dad let me sleep in their bed for a bit. I quickly claimed the bed for myself by pushing both of them out using my wide wingspan technique pictured here.

my neighborhood

Today we went for a walk around our neighborhood. I got to ride in the baby bjorn - a baby carrying contraption that is like a saddle you strap to your parents. We walked down Sunset past the Rainbow and Roxy, then down to Santa Monica to see what was happening at The Troubadour before walking back up the hill to our house.

lazy saturday

Today was a nice, lazy day. I'm going through a growth spurt, so I eat about every 2 hours now. When I'm not eating, I'm usually sleeping. Dad says I look cute when I sleep so he tried (unsuccessfully) to sneak up on me and take this picture. Seconds later I was wide awake.

my cousin devi

Today I got to meet my Dad's cousin Devi. We had a really nice visit at her friend Laurel's house in Eagle Rock. Devi has a daughter named Amy and a new baby growing in her belly now. Devi is my first cousin once removed and her babies are my second cousins. I hope to meet them soon.

My Friend Rebecca

My friend Rebecca came over tonight for dinner. I had the usual, but Mom, Dad and Rebecca had turkey burgers that Dad grilled. Rebecca took the pictures of me for the birth announcement when I was 6 days old. She is a really good photographer. I hope she takes pictures of me again!

up all night, sleep all day

I did a lot of sleeping today. More than usual. It's OK, though...my parents won't mind if I stay up all night.

Feeling Better

I'm feeling better today. The saline spray really helped my nose and Dad went out and got me a new humidifier so that I can sleep better. I slept in my chair instead of my bassinet so that my head was elevated. I was feeling so good that Mom took me out for a walk today. She got a frozen lemonade at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Dad stayed behind so that he could get some work done! This is me relaxing after the walk. My eyes look brown in these pictures, but they are still a steel-gray blue.

Wu Am I?

My parents are crazy. They couldn't just stop with Ilana...they had to keep going with the nicknames. I've already got more aliases than all of the members of the Wu Tang Clan combined. Let's see... there's Squeaky Mouse, The Buddha, Mouse In The House, Hunny Bunny aka Honey Bunches of Oats, Funkadelic aka Funky Brewster, Silly Monkey, Cheeky Monkey, Funky Monkey, Poops aka Poop Dogg, Big Baby, Sweet Baby, Buddha Baby, Babygirl, Toots aka Tootie, Yahoo Serious, Ol' Dirty, Dirt McGirt...uh, you get the picture.

my cool new towel

Tonight after the bath Mom wrapped me up in one of my new favorite towels. It's big and thick like a robe and has my name embroidered on it. I feel like I'm Mike Tyson circa 1989 when I wear it.
